The software is now installed and runs however I have a further problem - not all keyboard keys are being recognised by the software. Letters and numbers are recognised but there is no response from TAB, SPACE, INSERT, DELETE, Function Keys or Cursor keys. Does any one have any tips on how to solve this problem? I also do not know very much about Fortran compilers (except that one is required to use Bernese!) so I have a question about this also. The compiler I am using is Lahey F77L-EM/32 (Version 5). This was the compiler recommended in the Bernese Software 3.4 documentation when we initially bought the software in 1995. I get the impression that this compiler is now rather old and has been succeeded by better products. I have seen two references to Lahey LF90 (v4.5) and the fact that it works OK under NT. I have visited Lahey's web site (www.lahey.com) and the latest product seems to be LF95. From what I can understand the "Express" version ($200) of LF95 should be suitable as a simple Fortran compiler for Bernese but due to my very limited knowledge of Fortran I am not sure. Does any one have any hints, tips or suggestions as to which version of Lahey Fortran is the best to use to optimise the speed and operation of Bernese Software under windows NT? Thank you in advance for any replies that I may receive. Best regards.
