****************************************************************************** BSW Electronic Mail 18-Nov-2005 17:55:02 CET Message Number 0208 ****************************************************************************** Author: Stefan Schaer Subject: Changed SATELLIT. file Dear BSW Users: The satellite information file used for the IGS final analysis at CODE is regularly posted to ftp://ftp.unibe.ch/aiub/BSWUSER50/GEN/SATELLIT. http://www.aiub.unibe.ch/download/BSWUSER50/GEN/SATELLIT. This is to inform the BSW user community that this file does now force the use of an improved solar radiation pressure (RPR) a priori model, specifically the CODE RPR instead of the ROCK model. For details about the CODE RPR model please be referred to IGS Mail 1842: http://igscb.jpl.nasa.gov/mail/igsmail/1998/msg00069.html The impact of this model change/improvement should be negligible for regional network analysis. The current SATELLIT. file does include the RPR model coefficients as described above. An update of these coefficients is planned for the next months and will be beneficial in particular for GPS Block IIR (and for GLONASS and GLONASS-M) satellites. As the satellite information file format used at CODE meanwhile differs from that of BSW V5.0, a file conversion step is done at CODE to make the mentioned SATELLIT. file available to the V5.0 user. If you should notice any inconsistency please let us know. A copy of the old SATELLIT. file has been saved to ftp://ftp.unibe.ch/aiub/BSWUSER50/GEN/SATELLIT.OLD http://www.aiub.unibe.ch/download/BSWUSER50/GEN/SATELLIT.OLD Note that this particular file does not get updated. Best regards, The BSW Team [Mailed from: Stefan Schaer ]
