****************************************************************************** BSW Electronic Mail 10-Jan-2006 22:55:01 CET Message Number 0209 ****************************************************************************** Author: Teresa Van Hove Subject: How to select from list of possible files for B50 BPE's Subject : How to select only existing files from lists of possible files for B50 BPE runs? I have a situation with the MENU_VAR.INP options where I want to ie: run a COMPAR and generate the mean positions from the last 5 days of solutions; but if one of the last 5 days failed to be processed I want the pgm to default to the 4 successful solutions in my 5 day range. The way my B50 PCF's are working now is that it creates a list of file names based on the VAR_MINUS value and the prefix I give it and if one of the days is missing than the pgm -ie. COMPAR, crashes. Can someone suggest how I should set things up so that if I have ie: SLN052000.CRD SLN052010.CRD SLN052030.CRD SLN052040.CRD and would run COMPAR with SLN$YSS+- for year 2005, session 2040, with VAR_PLUS set to 0 and VAR_MINUS set to 4 the PCF will set up the COMPAR.INP file to take the 4 slns I have? What I'm getting now is that the INP file will include SLN052020.CRD in the list of files, and then COMPAR will crash because there is no SLN052020.CRD file. The solution I have in mind is to modify the menu/bpe programs to include some logic statements checking whether if each file exists and has size before writing the filename into the INP file.
